A quick yet effective full body blast for people who have busy schedules.

Every week you'll be given a different challenge to complete. Expect anything and everything.

NEXT COURSE:

Monday 14th March - 25th April 2022

Six week course starts Monday 14th March 2022 and finishes 25th April 2022 (no class Easter Monday), 7:35pm - 8:05pm, Epiphany Primary School, Muscliff, BH9 3PE. Booking confirmed upon payment in full. You will require your own weight/s (e.g. dumbbells/kettlebell) and exercise mat/towel. 

Early bird price: £30 (payment required by 28th February 2022)

Regular price: £36 (for payments made from 1st March 2022)

 

HOW TO BOOK

Please email info@fitnessquest.co.uk to secure your place. You will then be sent further details on how to secure your place.

Course places must be booked in advance and your place can only be held once payment in full has been received. Bookings are non refundable and non transferable.

You are required to sign in to class online each week, this opens 48 hours before the class start time and you should cancel your space should you no longer be able to attend.

 

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL FITNESS?

Functional fitness is an extremely beneficial concept which focuses on performing exercises that mimic everyday activities (lifting objects, climbing stairs). When you become fitter and stronger at performing functional exercises, day to day life feels easier and your risk of injury is reduced. While this may not sound like a fun class, Fitness Quest will be planning different challenges each week to keep your mind and body guessing. A short, sharp, 30 minute class that'll get your muscles working, heart pumping and sweat pouring. Don't expect for this to be an easy class... After all, sitting down is a squat, falling down and getting back up is a burpee and lifting an object is a deadlift. As always, you'll be coached through safe and effective technique and modifications/alternative exercises will always be an option. 


Here's an example of what type of challenge you could expect...


In 20 minutes complete as many rounds as possible of:


6 burpees

8 tricep dips

10 deadlifts

20 step ups

IS FUNCTIONAL FITNESS FOR ME?

In short... Yes! Functional Fitness is for everyone, the idea is that we perform exercises in the class that will help you become more efficient with your everyday movements. We may need to adapt some exercises for you, depending on your fitness level and any medical conditions or injuries but this can be discussed before you join us.

This class can be taken at your own pace; it's your choice how hard you want to push.

 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING WITH ME?

Please wear comfortable fitness clothing that does not restrict movements such as squats and lunges. Trainers are compulsory (no bare feet).

You will need to bring with you plenty of water and your choice of exercise equipment. Some examples are dumbbells, kettlebells, weighted balls, pump weights or a good old fashioned back pack. An exercise mat is also useful to bring with you.
